The Gunung Mulu National Park is a national park in Miri Division, Sarawak, Malaysia. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that encompasses caves and karst formations in a mountainous equatorial rainforest setting. The park is famous for its caves and the expeditions that have been mounted to explore them and their surrounding rainforest, most notably the Royal Geographical Society Expedition of 1977–1978, which saw over 100 scientists in the field for 15 months. This initiated a series of over 20 expeditions now named the Mulu Caves Project. The national park is named after Mount Mulu, the second highest mountain in Sarawak.
Explore one of the biggest cave passages in the world and the discover the Penan Settlement as well as forest surrounding the Mulu National Park.
Tour Highlights:
Arrive from Miri transfer to Mulu National Park Office. After lunch, trek to Deer Cave to admire and discover the cave formation. Later to the entrance Deer Cave to watch thousand of bats emerge from the cave flying over the park.
After breakfast, use longboat strolling along Clearwater River to visit Bungan Penan Settlement. Later go by boat to visit Cave of Winds to discover the calcite formation, later climb 200 steps to the Clearwater Cave entrance. to visit Lady Cave's and underground river. If time permit your swim at Clearwater Spring.
Free at your leisure to discover the National Mulu Park. before transfer to Mulu aiport for your flight to Miri.
